This futon is a year and a half old, the mattress is in great shape, and it folds and unfolds easily. The frame is metal, with oak-finish wood arm rests. The mattress is a light tan color, but you can use full size bed sheets to make it any color you want. Great for use as a couch, and perhaps as a guest bed, but would not recommend for use as a main bed on a regular basis.
