1965 Harley Davidson Police Special Servi-Car in Memphis, TN

1965 Harley Davidson Police Special Servi-Car

Was designed during the great depression to increase product base and increase sales. Very popular as a utility vehicle for small businesses and mobile vendors. They proved to be popular with police departments, which still used servi-cars into the 90's. They were produced from [removed phone]. It has a 45 cubic inch flat head original engine with electric start. Electric start became available in 1964. The transmission is a 3 speed with reverse. It has a rigid rear axle with differential. This servi-car (trike) went through a complete restoration from [removed phone]. It's a rare Police Special edition. The throttle is on the left side as well as the foot clutch, and the gear shift is on the right side of the tank. It was made that way so the officer could have his right arm free to use a chalk stick to mark car tires for parking tickets. This bike is a blast to ride and is in great condition. This is a real classic Harley and a sure conversation starter. Very rare opportunity to own this piece of History at a fair price!
